Articulated College Credit

Articulated College Credit

What is Articulated Credit?

Articulated credit is a process by which a student may earn college credit through successful completion of certain courses where students achieve learning outcomes, skills and abilities comparable to those covered in a college course. This process is outlined in a written, formal agreement between the school district and the college. This allows students to move smoothly into postsecondary education. The college credit is not awarded until the student is enrolled at the college issuing the articulation agreement and has satisfactorily completed the institutions' requirements. Orange County Public Schools has formal articulation agreements with Valencia College. Additional information can be found at the links below.

In addition, statewide articulation agreements help facilitate the seamless transition of students across and among Florida’s educational entities. These agreements are intended to be a minimum guarantee of articulated credit and do not preclude institutions from granting additional credit based on local agreements.
