Orange County Public Schools invites all families, employees and community members to participate in the School Start Times Survey to help the district decide whether to change school start times for high schools and elementary schools. Your participation is important because it ensures all our families’ voices are heard in this process.
Florida Statute mandates that school districts set middle and high school start times later in the morning, unless the district can provide a report including how their students, employees, families and community members feel about the change.
Research stresses the importance of middle and high school students getting enough sleep, and moving high school start times to later in the morning may help. Under the proposed change, elementary schools would start earlier than middle schools and high schools.
Please take a moment to answer the questions to this survey.

About:
Impact Evaluation of Rosen Preschool and Scholarships
On September 29, 2015, Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) and the Harris Rosen Foundation, Inc. (Rosen Foundation) fully executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in which both parties collaborated to build and maintain a new school to serve Parramore neighborhood's full-time resident pre-school students (two and three-year olds) and pre-K (four-year olds) through the 8th grade. In addition, the Rosen Foundation started a scholarship program in 2016 to provide scholarships for Jones High School graduates who are full-time residents of the Parramore neighborhood and have been accepted to a Florida state public college, university, community college, or technical school. To fulfill terms elaborated in the MOU, OCPS is evaluating the impact of these initiatives. This web page houses all the evaluation artifacts that OCPS produced as part of the evaluation.
