OCPS Parent Academies and Trainings
The OCPS Parent Academy is a free family engagement program designed to empower parents and caregivers with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to support their child's academic success and overall well-being. Through engaging workshops, interactive events, and community partnerships, families have opportunities to learn about topics such as student achievement, parenting strategies, college and career readiness, mental health and wellness, digital safety, and navigating the school system. Whether offered in person or virtually, Parent Academy sessions are designed to strengthen the partnership between home and school, helping families feel informed, connected, and confident as they support their child's educational journey.

OCPS Parent Portal
The OCPS Parent Portal is a secure online platform that gives parents and guardians convenient access to important information about their child's education in one central location. Through the Parent Portal, families can view grades, attendance, assignments, test scores, schedules, report cards, and school announcements. Parents can also update contact information, complete required forms, monitor academic progress, and access additional district resources and applications. By staying connected through the Parent Portal, families can actively partner with their child's school, communicate more effectively with teachers, and support student success throughout the school year.

LaunchPad Student Portal
The OCPS Student Portal (LaunchPad) is a secure online gateway that gives students one convenient place to access the digital tools and resources they use every day. With a single login, students can access Canvas, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, digital textbooks, educational applications, and other instructional resources assigned by their teachers. The Student Portal also provides access to class assignments, calendars, grades, and learning materials, helping students stay organized, engaged, and connected both in the classroom and at home. By providing anytime, anywhere access to learning, the OCPS Student Portal supports student success and encourages independent learning.

The OCPS Parent Portal provides access to:
- Canvas Parent - this provides access to students Canvas course assignments, calendar, and grades on work completed in Canvas. Click here learn how to use Canvas Parent.
- OCPS Digital Resource Course - this provides guides and information on how to use each of the OCPS platforms. Click here to access the OCPS Digital Resource Course.
- School Pay - this provides the ability to pay school issued fines and fees. Click here to access the SchoolPay website.

Apps & Platforms For Students
OCPS centrally purchases major digital apps and platforms for all schools. There are five apps and platforms that all families should be familiar with.
- LaunchPad- this is the landing page that students use to sign in to all other platforms.
- Canvas- this is the learning management system where students access and submit assignments.
- GSuite for Education- this is cloud storage and productivity suite where students store their files and create digital products.
- Microsoft Teams- this is video conferencing system used by teachers with students
- LanSchool Air- this is the classroom management software that teachers use to be able to view student screens, direct, and communicate with students during the school day.

Is your student new to OCPS and not sure how to use Canvas for students? We have a course for that!

Did you know that there are also Tech Tips for Students? There are! They are curated in Microsoft Stream so all students can access, because YouTube is not available at the elementary school level. Students need to login to view videos with their OCPS email address (studentnumber@students.ocps.net) and the same password they use to login to their device.
