A Funny Thing Happened
Andrea Matlin, a VPK teacher at Little River Elementary, is rarely surprised by the responses her little scholars give to questions. But just four days into the school year she had her first good chuckle.
On the first Monday, after naptime blankets had been sent home to be washed, Andrea was preparing for naptime and noticed one blanket was wet. When she asked the student about her blanket, without hesitation the student replied “My dad put it in the oven!”
Needless to say, the dramatic play kitchen will be opening very soon to help students learn about household appliances - especially the difference between the washing machine and the oven!
