Nourish to Flourish: February 2023

Easy Ways to Eat Healthy

By Sandra Carr

OCPS’ Nourish to Flourish Wellness Boost encourages employees to live a salubrious lifestyle by providing physical- and mental-health tips. For February, the Harvard Medical School has three tips for eating healthy.

The Nourish to Flourish Wellness Boost is an OCPS Mental Health Commission incentive that was started by School Board Chair Teresa Jacobs in 2020. The group provides services that best support the mental and emotional well-being of our staff and students by collaborating with community stakeholders.

Each week during the school year, OCPS employees are randomly selected to receive a $25 wellness-boost gift card. The selected staff members choose how they want to nourish to flourish by using the reward to meet their cognitive, emotional, interpersonal, professional or spiritual needs.

Listed below are the December 2022 and January/February 2023 Nourish to Flourish Wellness Boost winners. View the staff photos in the Around OCPS photo gallery.
