Nourish to Flourish: December 2022
'Tis the Season for Healthy Holiday Habits
By Sandra Carr

The holidays are a time for feasting and enjoying glorious food, but can pack on the pounds.

OCPS’ Nourish to Flourish Wellness Boost encourages employees to live a healthy lifestyle by providing physical- and mental-health tips. For December, Orlando Health has five tips for staying healthy while celebrating with family and friends without wrecking your waistline.

The Nourish to Flourish Wellness Boost is an OCPS Mental Health Commission incentive that was started by School Board Chair Teresa Jacobs in 2020. The group provides services that best support the mental and emotional well-being of our staff and students by collaborating with community stakeholders.

Each week during the school year, OCPS employees are randomly selected to receive a $25 wellness-boost gift card. The selected staff members choose how they want to nourish to flourish by using the reward to meet their cognitive, emotional, interpersonal, professional or spiritual needs.

Listed below are the October/November 2022 and December 2022 Nourish to Flourish Wellness Boost winners. View the staff photos in the Around OCPS photo gallery.
