Florida Family Engagement Month - Let's celebrate
The Florida Department of Education and the School Board of Orange County have declared November Family Engagement Month. This is a time to celebrate the crucial role parents and families play in their children's education. When schools work together with families to support learning, children are more motivated to succeed, not just in school, but throughout life. Help us celebrate by using the calendar above to complete quick daily activities with your family.
Help your child with homework and test prep
After reviewing your child’s report card, you may decide that your child would benefit from additional support. Every day, 2 - 11 p.m., students can receive FREE online tutoring and homework help through the Orange County Library System. Live tutors are available to help your student in a variety of subject areas and test such as SAT and ACT. Learn how to get free homework help and tutoring. You can also learn how to use Brainfuse to prepare for tests.
ELL parents and caregivers will learn the steps needed to obtain important information to best support their students. This one-hour session is an invaluable introduction to the parent academy website and the resources and tools available to our ELL families. Register for the event.
