Board conducts work session of School Discipline procedures (Sept. 6, 2022)

At today’s School Board work session, the Orange County School Board reviewed School Discipline procedures.

Members of the school board received a detailed presentation 
from the Offices of Legal Services and district area administrators. The presentation provided information regarding:

  • School Environmental Safety Incident Reporting (26 offenses)
  • Level 4 Procedures (13 steps)
  • Discipline Consequence Matrix 
  • Data and Case Studies

 Next steps – Superintendent Maria Vazquez will work with staff to review the current Code of Student Conduct to determine suggestions for upcoming school year. She will also explore resources to guide parents in the Level IV discipline process.
