Identifying missing assignments puzzle piecesFinish Fierce

The final marking period of this school year has begun. Each week, we will be focusing on a new topic to help you prepare for the end of the school year. This week we will be focusing on college-ready assessments.

For high school students, the spring is often the time when students take college-ready assessments like the SAT and ACT. Did you know that OCPS provides every 11th grade student the opportunity to take the ACT online for FREE at their school? It’s true, and it's coming soon (Tuesday, April 18, 2023). The ACT is computer based and it is important that all students bring their device fully charged to school on this day.

Take Action:
If your child is in 11th grade, mark ACT Testing Day, April 18, on your calendar.
Familiarize yourself with BrainFuse which has live ACT tutoring and full length ACT practice tests available. Watch a brief video overview of the resource.

NOTE: The information can also be found on the OCPS Current Families site under Finish Fierce.

Progress Reports are coming

Progress Reports for the fourth marking period will be available on Thursday, April 27. Now is the time to check your child's grades and support them by ensuring they do not have any missing assignments. Missing assignments, which are not submitted, can result in a lower overall grade. The best place to do this is in Skyward Family Access. This is the official gradebook in OCPS.  If you cannot login to the OCPS Parent Portal and enter Skyward Family Access, please submit an OCPS Parent Portal Concerns Form

NOTE: The information can also be found on the OCPS Current Families site under Finish Fierce.
