Graduation Rate Surpasses State Average

The district's graduation rate in 2016-17 reached an all-time high of 93.8 percent among our traditional high schools.

OCPS received unanimous recommendation for district accreditation from AdvancED, a nonprofit organization that conducts rigorous on-site reviews of schools and districts.

Expanded 1:1 Initiative
 
LaunchED, the district's digital learning initiative, will provide more than 100,000 devices to students for the 2017-18 school year.


APIncreased Advanced Placement (AP) Participation

In the past five years, the number of students taking AP exams has increased 57 percent; the number of exams taken has increased 62 percent; and the number of exams passed has increased 47 percent. 


Super Scholars‘Super Scholars’ – Top 20 Universities

Ninety one 2018 high school graduates were accepted into the nation’s top 20 colleges and universities (as ranked by US News and World Report) and U.S. service academies.

Nine of the district's magnet schools (10 programs) earned Merit Awards from Magnet Schools of America.
