How do stories get in the Orange Peal?

You may be wondering what makes a story a fit for the Orange Peal.

We are looking for news, features, photos and tidbits that fall into a few categories:

Does it feature OCPS employees or departments doing their best to help kids?
Does it show interesting things about the district that we may not see in our daily work?
Does it share important information?
Does it make us laugh?
Does it spotlight our coworkers or ourselves?

The Orange Peal is intended for “the good news of this school system [to be] ‘rung out’” -- in other words, to peal.

Favorites such as A Funny Thing Happened, Around OCPS and the Employee ID search, are still here. We’ve also added a feature called Foundation Fans highlighting the work done by the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools.
