Program description:
In Head Start, your child learns from highly qualified teachers while receiving medical and nutritional care.

Your child enjoys a well-balanced, nutritional breakfast, lunch and snack with the Head Start Program. Referrals for medical, dental and mental health services are provided to enrolled Head Start children when applicable.

In the Head Start Program, your family learns to build a solid foundation, thrive, and grow.

Eligibility:
Families who live in Orange County, have a child who will be 3 or 4 years old by September 1st and your household income is at or below 100% of the 2021 Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Enrollment window:
We accept applications throughout the year and a waiting list is developed to fill openings once the class ratio has been met.

Program description:
The Pre-K/Varying Exceptionality Program offers two ½ day classes with a 2:12 teacher-student ratio.
The AM Class runs from 8:00am -11:15am (to include breakfast) and the PM class runs from 12:00pm -2:30pm (to include lunch). Students will receive specialized instruction based on their Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals as well as Speech/Language, Occupational and Physical Therapy as needed.

If students are eligible, transportation will be provided to access ESE services.

Eligibility:
Students 3 -5 years old found eligible for an exceptionality through an evaluation by the PDIS (Preschool Diagnostic Intervention Services) department.

Enrollment window:
We accept applications throughout the year and once the class ratio has been met, students are referred to enroll at another Elementary School.

Program description:
The Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program – or VPK is a state funded educational program designed to help build a strong educational foundation and readiness skills for Kindergarten.

Eligibility:
  • 4 years old on or before September 1st of the current school year enrolling

  • Obtain a Certificate of Eligibility from 4C

We accept applications throughout the year and a waiting list is developed to fill openings once the class ratio has been met.

Program description:
The goal of the Two-Way Dual Language Program is for students to become bilingual and bi-literate in both English and a partner language (Spanish), demonstrate high levels of academic achievement and cultivate positive cross-cultural attitudes.

Eligibility:
  • Parent interest/request
  • 4 years old on or before September 1st of the current school year enrolling for
  • Obtain a Certificate of Eligibility from 4C
