Magnet programs offer students a world of learning

From visual and performing arts to world languages and more, specialized curriculum can foster a student's talent or interest. That's why Orange County Public Schools, magnet programs provide 44 choices for families at every age level across the county. We're hosting two magnet fairs to showcase all the options to families interested in learning more about these opportunities for learning.

Spotlight programs include:

• Edgewater High’s Center for Future Educators: growing our own workforce with students interested in becoming teachers

• Maxey Elementary’s Visual and Performing Arts program: a new option for our youngest students interested in the arts

• Lakeview Middle’s The World Language Academy: promotes biliteracy for English speakers in Spanish or French

The application window for magnet schools runs Nov. 1, 2019 to Feb. 15, 2020. Get a list of all OCPS magnet programs offered at the elementary, middle and high school level.
